Entering the profession of Childcare Educator from wherever or whatever you have done before can be made easier if you have a mentor to guide you.
The role is simple, yet complex.
Working with children has enormous value and the lasting memories you'll share will tug at your heart forever.
Our Workshop Mentors will highlight key elements of the role and explain why becoming and Educator gives you the opportunity to extend your natural talents, whilst developing a huge array of both professional and personal skills.
Being a great Educator equips you with a foundation skillset that transfers to any future vocation you choose.
However, you must follow the rules and apply best practice to meet the quality standards set by the Department of Education.
Completing an Introduction to Childcare Workshop will equip you with the knowledge to work with children to educate and care for them with confidence in your decisions and actions.

1. INTRODUCTION TO CHILDCARE WORKSHOP
This Introduction Workshop will step you through all the elements of the Educators role.
Building relationships with the children is a lot of fun, but learning to understanding their development to know what you are seeing and how to document it to share with the parents, is a necessary skill.
The role can be arduous to meet the routine, procedures and quality standards in place, yet it will bring you some of your most valued memories when you experience a child conquer their challenges from your guidance.
The stage here is not your own. You will learn to be time efficient and be an effective and valuable team member through effective communication.
During this workshop you will meet other Educators to enjoy topical conversations. Your contribution and involvement in group learning becomes part of your learning how to collaborate with others, and to share your achievements with as you conquer each module.

2. BECOME A MENTOR
You know what you know, but do you know how to pass on what you know to another in a professional capacity?
Being a Mentor is more than talking about your knowledge and experiences.
Supporting another persons learning journey by guiding them on the job through their practical experiences takes patience and an ability to see the mechanics behind their decisions.
Learning to become an effective Mentor will enhance your professional and personal relationship building skillset. Plus these skills are transferable to other vocations.

3. GROUP WORKSHOP BOOKINGS
A quick fix for a centres cohesion, is to have all the Educators working and performing from the same platform.
This Group Workshop option is for Centres to align staff with values, attitudes and the know how of working as a team.
The documentation component of the role can be overwhelming. Here they will learn strategies to make the process simpler.
As a team, time management and co-ordination is crucial for each day to run smoothly. Transition times are often where time is lost and having the opportunity to participate in role play activities in the workshop makes your learning fun.
This Group Workshop is designed to create a collaborative and harmonious workplace for Educators to enjoy working in and for children to thrive in their care.
